Responsible Officer-Type 9

Position Summary
We seek an SFC-approved Responsible Officer (RO) for Type 9 activity to lead our Traditional and Virtual Asset Portfolio Management. This role requires asset management expertise and regulatory knowledge to ensure compliance while driving investment strategy and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Leadership & Compliance:

• Act as the RO for Type 9 activity, ensuring SFC compliance.
• Develop policies, procedures, and controls for all asset management.
• Manage regulatory communication and reporting.

Portfolio Management & Strategy:

• Formulate and execute investment strategies for all portfolios.
• Conduct due diligence on virtual assets and trading platforms.
• Monitor portfolio performance and benchmarks.

Operational Oversight:

• Ensure segregation of client assets.
• Select and monitor custodians or establish self-custody framework.
• Implement accurate valuation methodologies and NAV calculations.

Qualifications & Experience

Must-Have (Regulatory & Technical):

• Current SFC approval as RO for Type 9.
• 3+ years in asset management, with at least 1 year in virtual asset management.
• Expertise in SFO and SFC requirements for VA fund managers.
• Deep knowledge of blockchain, digital assets, and associated risks.

Must-Have (Leadership & Business):

• Experience in team building and compliance implementation.
• Connections within the global virtual asset ecosystem.

Highly Preferred:

• Experience in SFC license "upgrade" for virtual asset management.
• Advanced degree or CFA, fluency in English and Mandarin.
