Financial Lines Underwriter

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for underwriting of insurance products within the portfolio of the Financial Lines business
• Drives new business, reviews new risk submission and renewals within assigned authority limits.
• Maintains close rapport and relationship with brokers, maintains liaison with producers to obtain necessary underwriting information, promote satisfactory service relationship and to encourage the submission of targeted business.
• Secures additional information where necessary and analyses all pertinent data to determine acceptability of risks according to established underwriting standards.
• Reviews endorsements on existing policies to identify any change in original coverage or amounts.
• Evaluates, accepts, rejects or modifies risks within established underwriting guidelines. Assists in preparing submissions for referral.
• Ensure timely response on quotations and production of policies, endorsements, certificates, renewal notices, and other administrative requirements.
• Performs special projects and other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Degree in relevant field, with insurance qualifications
• Minimum 2 to 5 years of Financial Lines experience
